Oval Basket Crochet Pattern

Here is my own pattern for an oval basket with decorative top and optional strap. This works fantastically for holding your pegs or as with any basket 101 different uses with or without the strap 🙂

This is a one size project however the finished size will depend on what yarn you use and your tension.

Any yarn can be used however I suggest using a chunky or greater yarn for stability of the basket. I personally used Aldi Knit and purl macrame yarn with a 6.5mm hook for the red basket pictured and Aldi Chunky yarn with a 6mm hook for the purple basket pictured.
