Lara Square

This pretty mandala style Afghan square, works up to be approximately 10-12″ depending on the hook size used.

Perfect for joining together to create a blanket or even extending the granny stitch rows to create a cushion cover of your desired size..

You will need:

  • Dk yarn – recommended cotton or cotton blend 50-60g 115-138m however acrylic also works well 🙂
  • 3mm hook for 10” square
  • 4mm hook for 12..5” square

Stitches used in the pattern include (US terms):

  • Mr = Magic ring
  • Sc = single crochet
  • Hdc = half double crochet
  • Dc = double crochet
  • Htc = half triple crochet
  • Tc = Triple crochet
  • Slst = slip stitch
  • Chsp = chain space
  • St = stitch
  • Xdc = X dc’s in the next st
  • DcX = dc in next X stitches
  • Dcxtog = dc x st together
  • skx = skip x stitches

Gauge is unimportant however tension may affect the finished size.
