EDGING
- Sleeve –
On left side of sleeve join with standing sc in 2nd st from bottom, sc2tog in next st & 1st ch, sc in next 9 chs along bottom of armhole, sc2tog in last ch & next st working up right side of sleeve, sc, (sk2, dc5 in next st, sk2 sc)7, skip last sc and slst to standing sc. Fasten off.
Repeat on both sleeves.
- Back opening & creating button loop –
Join with standing sc in 1st foundation st, work down the opening with 1sc in each row, 1sc at bottom and 1sc each row working up the other side, ch6 slst to beginning to make a loop, sc10 into loop for button hole. Fasten off. * before fastening off make sure your button fits the loop securely and adjust if necessary .
Sew button on opposite side to the loop.
- If you have done a starting chain and hdc stitches instead of a foundation stitch chain, I would advise that you continue with the back edging all the way round the top to give you a better finish.
